2024 Greenhouse Gas Reduction, Water Conservation
and Waste Management Policy

I. Objectives

For more than a decade, Twoway has actively promoted energy conservation and carbon reduction initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. These efforts focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, and waste generation across the Company’s operations. Clear responsibilities have been defined across departments, with an established target of achieving a 3% annual reduction in energy use, emissions, and resource consumption. These initiatives continue to be implemented and monitored on an ongoing basis.

II. Implementation Measures

1. Office Energy Conservation Measures

  • Seasonal air-conditioning management, with indoor temperatures set at 26°C to reduce electricity load

  • Designated departmental area managers to ensure lights and air-conditioning are turned off when not in use

  • Gradual replacement of traditional air-conditioning units with high-efficiency inverter air conditioners, improving both energy performance and workplace comfort

  • Continuous upgrade of office lighting to energy-efficient LED lamps, reducing heat generation and electricity consumption

  • As of 2024, the Company has successfully reduced its contracted power capacity from 550 kW to 400 kW, demonstrating tangible results in energy conservation

 

2. Data Center Energy Efficiency

  • Implementation of server virtualization, reducing electricity consumption and improving equipment utilization efficiency

 

3. Water Conservation Measures

  • Installation of water-saving devices and valves to minimize unnecessary water usage

  • Daily monitoring of water consumption, with immediate repair of leaks to ensure water efficiency and prevent waste

4. Waste Reduction and Resource Management

  • Ongoing promotion of electronic document management systems to reduce paper usage, with increased use of recycled paper

  • Strict implementation of waste sorting and recycling, including scrap metal, aluminum, glass, paper, and PET bottles

  • Professional personnel assigned to oversee waste disposal, classification, and recycling processes

The Company will continue to expand and strengthen its energy-saving, carbon-reduction, and greenhouse gas management policies as part of its long-term sustainability strategy.

III. Achievement Status

The table below summarizes the Company’s annual average greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption per employee, covering all office locations. The data demonstrates the effectiveness of Twoway’s energy-saving, carbon-reduction, and resource management initiatives over time.
